Problem Statement
We do a great job of saturating our audience with our video content. However there are other large video providers which have an interest our highest-value content, and are willing to pay for it. This brings in additional revenue to PlayOn and potentially the schools but it also opens the door to interesting co-brand opportunities and ways to drive more traffic back to NFHS.
Proposed Solution
From a technical perspective we already have this content in our platform, both live and VOD - and now as clips as well. Exposing it to approved, licensed content providers would require some additional work to implement but definitely feasible. The other side of the business is working as a broker to bring content owners (Playon and schools/associations) together with video providers - facilitating the contract negotiations, creating and signing LOAs, handling settlements, and providing professional services to ensure all goes well. We have the skills and teams to do all of that in-house.
Unique Value Proposition
This is an established business model in broadcast video, currently done by players such as theSwitch, LTN, Encompass, and a few others. What's really unique here is the mass amounts of original content we own and have access to. There's a lot of value in this content and this is another way to unlock that value and grow the reach and value of Playon and NFHS.
